There are multiple ways to improve the state of black maternal health in our community. Big Doulaby providing doulas and birth workers with the necessary supplies to support mothers during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We recognize the disparities in maternal health for Black women and strive to provide accessible and culturally competent care to address these inequities. Our organization empowers doulas and birth workers to provide quality care by providing them with the supplies they need to support mothers and babies.
Our nonprofit volunteer program allows volunteers to collect and donate supplies needed by doulas and birth workers in the community to provide essential services to mothers. Volunteers collect items such as birth kits, essential oils, and herbal remedies, and donate them to local doulas and birth workers who may be working with families that lack access to necessary supplies. Our goal is to support birth workers in providing quality care and ensure that mothers in the community have access to the care they need during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
